| Requirements: |
- a doctoral student at a doctoral school at a university in Polish territory (within the meaning of the Act of 20 July 2018 on Higher Education and Science),
- very good academic results in master’s studies in the field of Civil Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Engineering,
- research interests in the field of bituminous materials technology and bio-modification,
- experience in conducting research in the field of physical and rheological properties of bitumens (e.g. in a diploma thesis, professional experience, participation in projects, etc.)
- competences and knowledge in the field of bitumens and asphalt mixtures, research procedures of bituminous materials, basics of rheology of viscoelastic materials, statistical analysis and interpretation of laboratory test results,
- English at the level of min. B2 – international project, work in English.

| Key Responsibilities: | The scholarship holder will participate in the implementation of the project as part of the OPUS 28 LAP competition entitled: Studies on the replacement ability of bitumen with bio-materials based on multiperformance compatibility analysis. Project objective: The aim of the project is to identify the maximum possible levels of substitution of petroleum-based bitumen with bio-materials, analyse their mutual interactions, and investigate compatibility issues. Description of the main tasks of the project:
- Characterization of raw materials and selection of bio-material dosage for bio-modified bitumen.
- Evaluation of chemical, structural, thermal, and emission properties in the aspect of bio-modified bitumen performance.
- Aging behavior and durability assessment of bio-modified bitumen.
- Integrated analysis of viscoelasticity, chemomechanics and environmental impact of bio-modification of bitumen in terms of the complex compatibility phenomenon.

| Employment Conditions: |
- cholarship agreement from 2 February 2026 to 30 September 2026
- The scholarship is awarded in accordance with the rules set out in the NCN Scholarship Award Regulations introduced by Resolution No 25/2019 of the Council of the National Science Centre of 14 March 2019.
- A scholarship of PLN 2500 per month for a period of 8 months.
- Work in a professional and friendly team.
- Opportunity to gain experience in working in an international project team.

- CV with a list of achievements in accordance with § 3.12 “Regulations for awarding NCN scholarships in research projects funded by the National Science Centre” (annex to NCN Council Resolution No 25/2019 of 14 March 2019), including a list and description:
- the candidate’s scientific achievements, including publications in scientific journals,
- achievements resulting from conducting scientific research, scholarships, awards and scientific experience gained in Poland or abroad, workshops and scientific training, participation in research projects,
- competence to perform specific tasks in a research project.
- Scan of the Master’s diploma,
- Certificate from the university confirming the status of a doctoral student at the doctoral school,
