The Department of Road Construction Technology was established in 2019. It derives from the Department of Road Materials and Pavement Technology, formerly named the Division of Road Materials and Pavement Technology, which was incorporated in the Institute of Roads and Bridges in 2011. The department refers to the rich history of this specialty, dating back to the pre-war period at WUT.
