Research activity of the Division of Concrete Structures is directed toward:
- Concrete structures, reinforced concrete structures, prestressed structures, and steel-concrete composite structures;
- Fire safety of reinforced concrete structures, influence of high temperature on the mechanical properties of concrete and reinforcing steel;
- Application of new materials as reinforcement for concrete structures (BFRP and HFRP bars);
- Technical assessment of the prefabricated large-panel residential buildings;
- Practical application of the design codes (Eurocode 2) and theory of reinforced concrete;
- Reliability of reinforced concrete structures.
The Division of Concrete Structures offers the following services:
- Expert studies in the field of reinforced concrete and prestressed concrete structures;
- Expert studies, opinions, and technical assessment of civil engineering structures, including industrial and special structures;
- Non-standard studies on design of civil engineering concrete structures: strengthening, repair, reconstruction, expansion, change of use of buildings, “removal” of selected structural elements.
- Studies and trainings on practical application of the design codes (Eurocode 2) and theory of reinforced concrete;
- All types of analysis of reinforced concrete structures under fire conditions; assessment of fire resistance of structures, design of structures under fire conditions, technical assessment of fire damaged structures;
- Technical evaluation of possibilities of modernization and expansion of the existing prefabricated large-panel structures.
