]]> The ECB Scholarship for Women is an initiative supporting female scholars from low-income background in pursuing a Master’s degree in the field of economics, statistics, computing and engineering.

This year, the scholarship will be offered to 15 outstanding candidates who will:

  • Receive a grant of €10,000
  • Attend a study visit at the European Central Bank with dedicated activities, such as meeting with the ECB Women in Leadership Network
  • Gain insight into the ECB’s central banking and banking supervision functions
  • Meet fellow scholars and join the alumni community
  • Receive advice and mentoring from an ECB economist or expert in the field of banking supervision, statistics, engineering or computing.

To be considered eligible for the programme, the candidate should meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • A woman and a national of an EU country;
  • Currently enrolled, or are about to enroll, in a master’s course in economics, statistics, engineering or computing at a European university or business school;
  • Facing a funding gap that may prevent them from pursuing their studies;
  • Completed an undergraduate degree with excellent grades (i.e. for bachelor’s degree)

The enrolment to Erasmus+ programme at the Faculty of Civil Engineering:

Nomination

Students who have been qualified to participate in Erasmus+ program by their Home Universities should be officially nominated for an exchange period by email sending at  incoming.erasmus@pw.edu.pl

Deadlines for Nomination:

Fall (1st) semester / whole academic year: April 30th

Spring (2nd) semester: October 31st

Application

All nominated students must apply via online system: IRK

Winter / Fall semester starts at the beginning of October and runs until the end of January. All exams in the Winter session will be taken in February, in a first half of the month.

Summer / Spring semester starts in February after Winter exams’ session and runs until the middle of June. The Summer semester exams must be completed until the end of June.

What next:

What do you have to do after you arrive in Warsaw?

  1. Check your timetables on our website: https://www.il.pw.edu.pl/en/studia-anglojezyczne/#Timetables (timetables for the winter/summer semester will appear at the beginning of September / February).
  2. Start attending classes included in your Learning Agreement beginning on October 2, 2026.
  3. Come to our Organizational Meeting to get the necessary information.
  4. Wait for instructions about payment for the student card, and wait for it (about 1-2 weeks).
  5. Wait for an e-mail with information about where and when you can receive your student card.
  6. Do not worry about anything and ask about any doubts 

 

What do we do for you after you arrive in Warsaw?

  1. We register you in our academic USOS system.
  2. We order and print your Student Card.
    It usually takes 1 or 2 weeks, so please buy a regular/normal ticket for first two weeks of your mobility. We will inform you when your student cards will be ready.
  3. We register you for your classes based on your Learning Agreement.
